Río Cisnes Trail — Villa Amengual, Aysén

A short, easy trail along the banks of the Río Cisnes, starting from Refugio Río Cisnes: 2.3 km round trip, 27 m of elevation gain, between 30 and 60 minutes walking at an easy pace. Ideal for stretching your legs after hours on a bike or in the car, or as a short stop on the way to Queulat National Park.

The Río Cisnes stands out for its turquoise tones, winding its way through native forest. There are stretches with small beaches where you can stop to watch the water or cast a fishing line.

Starting and finishing at the refuge — while you're here, enjoy a hot coffee or a wood-fired pizza before or after your walk.

Along the trail and its surroundings you may spot: Abejorro Chileno, Arayán, Cachudito, Canelo, Canquén, Cantária, Carpinterito, Carpintero Negro, Changle, Chaura, Chercán, Chilco, Chucao, Churrín, Coihue, Cola de Pavo, Cometocino, Cóndor, Cormorán Yeco, Cortinarius, Dihueñe, Espino Negro, Fío Fío, Golondrina, Gomitas del Bosque, Helechos, Hued Hued, Huillín, Jilguero, Líquenes, Luma, Martín Pescador, Mañío, Nalca, Notro, Oreja de Palo, Picaflor Chico, Puma, Quila, Rayadito, Tepa, Tineo, Trepadoras and Trucha (local names for the birds, mammals, plants and fungi you may encounter).
